Description
The small skillet is the workhorse in my kitchen. Almost everyday it fries up some onion and an omelet for me. That’s why the one in the picture shows some darkening from use.
I generally just wipe it out after use. You can put it in the dishwasher, but then you lose that very light oil coating. It’s good for hamburgers, sauteing shrimp, whatever you can think of. A great introduction piece to flameware.
The only thing I don’t do in it is bacon. For that I keep an old cast iron skillet nearby. See Notes on Flameware for the why. It has to do how claypots transmit and spread heat. You can cook it in Flameware, but it works better in metal.
