New Pots Ready For Glazing

Use these shopping pages as a guide to NewClay Pottery and getting just the pot you want.  Tom has always gotten a kick out of inventing pots for special uses and recipes.  He was the first to develop the “Beer Can Chicken” baker back in 1996. Or the vegetable steamer and Cassole Baking and Serving Bowl.

The Whole New World of Flameware All-Ceramic Stovetop Cookware

We got into Flameware at the urging of famous author Paula Wolfert.  She led us into most of the Flameware pots I still make as well as many types of stoneware pots. Her gentle but demanding standards made sure these pots all work like they’re supposed to.

Please, Take Your Time

I now work alone and have developed a system to get you custom pots as quickly as I can.  I make most everything ahead and get it through the first firing. And then I glaze and fully finish some of every type, but not too many.  I try to glaze fire every 4 weeks or so, so that’s about the longest you might have to wait. If you’re lucky and call just before a glaze firing, it might only be a week or two. But is your pot, designed partly by you with my help. I love being your potter.

Since Flameware All-Ceramic Stovetop Cookware only comes in one glaze, I can do those pieces ahead and have them ready to go.

So, take a quick look at glazes, pick the ones you like best, then go shopping. If you have ANY questions, just give me a call.  We’ll work it out. And besides, people who use pottery, are fun to talk with.
