YOU DESERVE GOOD SERVICE, AS WELL AS GOOD POTS!

CHANGE CAN BE A GOOD THING!!! But, as Paul Simon said near the end if his wonderful retrospective of 60 years interviewed by Malcolm Gladwell, who discovered the 10,000 hour rule; Simon’s conclusion: “I’m done!” rang truer and truer. Many of his words and thoughts, were exactly what was going on at Coyote. So after many months of soul searching, and a lot of anguish, I’ve decided “It”s Time!” “I’m done!”
But through that ran a need to thank all of you for these 25 years where Betsy and I with a little help from our friends, brought you about 170,000 pots, which we hope have served you well and become part of your family’s celebrations and traditions. And physical stuff, as it happens at some point, began to get in the way of being able to make the pots of 10 years before. I vowed I wasn’t going to pawn off half-baked pots to keep my ego going. So, here we are. Thank you.

Stoneware; for Cookware, Mixing and Serving;
Flameware; for Stove-top Pots

NewClay Pottery, Stoneware cookware and Highfire Flameware Stove-top Pots, was founded in 2017 by Tom Wirt, after 22 years as a founder and the potter at Clay Coyote Pottery with Betsy Price.
You, as customers over the last year and a half, have been very patient with my learning curve causing slow deliveries in too many cases. I’ve been working to develop some systems to improve my delivery.

The Whole New World of Highfire Flameware …..
Highfire, All-Ceramic Stovetop Cookware, without the trouble of earthenware!

I got into Highfire Flameware at the urging of cookbook author Paula Wolfert.  She led me into most of the Ceramic Flameware pots I still make as well as many types of stoneware pots. Her gentle but demanding standards made sure these pots all work like they’re supposed to.
