Description

The cazuela is a traditional Mexican and Spanish cooking pot.  Once upon a time made of eaarthenware micaceous clay, they hade to be handled gently.  Our Flameware Ceramic Stovetop Cazuela will take on any task you take it to.  Flameware can be used on any heat source, gas, electric, glass top, grill, campfire, whatever.

This smaller sized cazuela is perfect for cooking for one or two, or making Mexican Rice for the family.  It’s about 10″ across the rim, 2-1/2 inches deep.

You can also use it much like you would a skillet.

See the recipe section for the easiest, most perfect Mexican Rice recipe.

The Flameware 10 inch Cazulea is a great addition to our kitchen. I used stainless pots and pans for years. Switching to Flameware for cooking on my gas stove top was a good decision. So far, I have been using this pan for sautéing meat and vegetables. The heating is very even and I have not experienced any scorching. The size is perfect when cooking for one or two people. I am also enjoying the lack of clanging metal noise while I cook and clean up! I really don’t want to hide them in a cabinet-they look beautiful on the counter.

As i put in another reply: With the cazuela, get ahold of Paula Wolfert’s “Mediterranean Cay Pot Cooking”. Over half the recipes in there are in the cazuela. Also look at the Stroganoff, Bourguignon group of dishes. Also, pick up the Pollo Chicken recipe from the website. https://newclaypottery.com/green-salsa-chicken-recipef-simmered-with-chicken/. You can use the same simmering technique with everything from meats to veggies for one pot meals.
      Enjoy,
      Tom
