This Stoneware Tortilla Warmer and server is simplicity itself, but adds so much to a meal. Whether you make your own flour tortillas or homemade corn tortillas, you need this pot.
Warm the dish and lid in a moderate oven for 10-15 minutes. Add an folded paper towel or small cloth and dampen it slightly. Best is to warm the tortillas on a comal or flameware comal or fry pan or cast iron fry pan to just brown them. Then into the Tortilla Warmer and Server.
The Tortilla Warmer and Server can go back in the oven to keep warm or you can microwave dish and tortillas although the oven option keeps the tortillas softer and more tender.
Also Works As A Small Casserole or Appetizer dish
Once I had them done, we quickly realized they worked as a great covered casserole, too. Gratin potatoes, 7 layer dips, guac, whatever the lid makes it nice at home and a great presentation at a friends. (Just make sure the warmer goes home with you!)
